I do know how harsh Azul can be, but... I would like to clarify something. [He takes a slow breath.] It wasn't about trust, with me. In my case, I chose to stop wallowing in my own self-pity. To face the truth about myself, using the guidance of questions. Having those made a difference, yes, and Azul's reassurances softened it. But, if I'm being completely honest?
Softness, at the same time, made it harder. If either of you had been any gentler in your approach, I am fairly sure I would have shut down. And... frankly, I could have been sitting next to Sephiroth, and still forced all of that out. Trust is... nice, but it's a comfort, more than a necessity, for gathering the willpower needed to face personal issues.
That aside... Azul's methods were very harsh with Sweeney, from what I've been able to gather. And I think you are very correct in asking for Infirmary staff to be approached first, but Dracula was there for most of it, wasn't he? As I came to understand it, he played a rather big part in attempting to stabilize him.
Wasn't he removed from the Infirmary prior to death...? If so, doesn't it stand to reason that the one to be looking at is the one who removed him from the place with all the medical equipment? Sure, magic might have been rejected, but a sterile environment would have been better than literally anywhere else on this ship.
