Like you said, we'll be working together going forward and while I am not the nicest guy around, I'm well aware of the bridges I burned playing my role a little too well before this. I'm not the kind of guy who looks back and apologizes for the shit I've done, because I'd be lying if I said I wasn't willing to do whatever it took to get you all to leave this place before it was too late.
[ So it wouldn't be an entirely sincere apology, just words disguised as an attempt to make one or the other feel better. ]
And instead ask you to keep your mind open to seeing the individual I actually am, now that the veil has been lifted, to decide how you want truly see me at the end of all of this.
