[He doesn't respond, at first, but he does show up in the library.]

I'm waiting at the entrance. When you have time, I have some questions.

[Azul can probably guess what it might be about.]

[Azul, naturally, is almost immediately aware of when Jamil appears.

After a moment, he packs up, and then comes over to Jamil.]

Let's head to my room, shall we?

[Since... if this is what Azul thinks it's about, he'd rather be in a place with only one point of exit. Just in case.]

[perfectly_average]

[His lips press together a little tightly, but he nods, voicing a calm agreement.]

Alright.

[With that, he starts towards Azul's cabin.]

[Azul can practically sense the tension rolling off of Jamil. Like a coiled snake preparing to strike.

Once they get to the door, he opens it and gestures.]

After you.

[perfectly_average]

[He steps inside, loosely folding his arms over his chest before he turns to face Azul. Jamil waits until the door is closed.]

Trixie isn't the type to not show up for work without warning. Given where you work, I figured you're the best person to ask about her. Obviously, I don't expect sensitive information, but...

[Well, Azul likely knows where it's going.]

[He gives a nod.]

She is currently in the infirmary, yes.

[Carefully gauging how much Jamil has figured out, and what he might know.]

[Externally, he appears too calm. Like this is exactly what he expected to be hearing, and it's possibly something he's spent hours bracing for.

Far too casually, he asks:]

Was it Sephiroth?

[Azul's face, as usual, gives nothing away.

Instead, he asks:]

What do you intend to do with that information?

[perfectly_average]

[That just gets a quiet laugh.]

Go down and yell at him? What could I do with it, Azul? I'm practically helpless compared to most of the people here.

[Don't trust that smile and that overly gentle tone, Azul.]

In any case, it seems that message was true, after all. Thank you for humoring me.

[He's just going to try leaving now.]

[Except Azul has placed himself in front of the door since they entered, and shows no signs of moving.]

Jamil. Your pen. Let me see it.

[perfectly_average]

[He tilts his head a little, an amused smile tugging at his lips. Slow, casually he closes the distance between them, until he's nonchalantly placing a hand on the door, next to Azul.

There's a coy smirk on his lips.]

Why are you suddenly so suspicious, Azul? Are you that determined to keep me in your cabin?

Part 2

[Hours later, he awakens.

There's a quiet, startled breath as he notes the position they're in. He does his best to not react too strongly, however, just in case Azul is still asleep...]

[Azul is waking up around the same time...

He's pretty sure he went to sleep with just his arm around Jamil, so when did his legs wrap around him, too?]

...ah.

[perfectly_average]

[Damn it, Azul...

Honestly, the worst part is how nice this feels. Jamil lets out a quiet, flustered sigh, keeping his head sort of ducked down. There's an attempt to will the blush away, even if he's well aware of how futile that is. Rhetorically:]

Were you worried I'd roll off the bed?

[cephalopunk]

[A sort of slightly strangled noise escapes Azul.]

S-sorry, I've never— I had no idea...

[Just. Gently disentangling himself now!!]

[The obvious fluster helps, actually. Jamil makes a quiet sound of amusement before outright laughing.

With a soft hum, he shifts upward to kiss Azul's cheek.]

I'm not sure how it's all that different from what you consciously did. [See: him hugging Jamil from behind.] I think I would have been more surprised if you'd kept any distance in your sleep...

[Judging from his tone, he doesn't mind it, at all.]

[He gives a huff, even as his features soften a little from the kiss.]

Well... [He's taking on a coy look that could only mean trouble for Jamil.] To be fair, I was just returning the favor.

[He blinks, and then... yep, there's the blush. He clearly already has the pieces put together, but he's still warily asking in a flustered tone:]

What do you mean?

[cephalopunk]

[He practically purrs out:]

Oh, my dear Jewel, I think you know exactly what I mean.

[perfectly_average]

[Stop that! He makes a quiet sound of fairly harmless frustration.]

I'm used to sleeping with lots of pillows!

[cephalopunk]

[A chuckle, and he presses a peck to Jamil's lips.]

Looks like we're continuing to discover new reasons for why we're good fits for each other.

[perfectly_average]

[Huff!]

That sounds like the sort of thing someone in a romance novel would say.

[Just a hint of teasing in his tone can be heard.]
