Sure. I can meet you by the entrance to the Barge to assist you in carrying supplies if you want. Or we can meet in another more preferential location.
No no, that's quite alright, though I thank you for your generous offer. I'll let you know once I'm ready, and perhaps we could talk over a meal in the Dining Hall?
And true to his word, he'll be in the dining hall. Since he doesn't have a specified timeframe, he takes the time to bake something fresh himself. Nothing like making a first good impression!
What he makes are small tarts - flaky crust, white cream filling, and a little raspberry on top. He sets a small plate of them on a table and sits to wait. Surely, he would show soon?
So he sends back some verbal instructions: Dining hall, third table from the door on the left, I have some food on the table already, if you'd like some.
"Really?" Connor motions to it with an open palm. "I made it myself. Give it a try and see if it's to your taste." The worst he can say is that he doesn't like it!
This is a world's difference from his previous warden. Despite him liking Frankie as a person, he finds himself already enjoying this new warden experience much more.
He takes a seat, looking over the food.
"It's quite well-put together. Though... hm. As an android, are you simply able to download the instructions needed to complete such a task?"
As opposed the sort of trial and error it would take a. Well. Non-android or other being capable of downloading information from technology.
"Well, yes, but we don't have the technological capabilities to support that on the Barge. I read a book instead." Reading recipes and committing them to memory had proved quite useful over the last year.
"Although, I still struggle with subjectivity. Recipies that have an estimation of ingredients are difficult to reconcile. I find baking easier given it requires more exact measurements." That's where the old adage came from about baking and cooking being worlds apart.
Compliments aren't necessary, but they're always a welcome thing to hear.
In any case, That's an eclectic assortment of tastes. "It sounds like we may have some similar interests." Connor reaches into the breast pocket of his vest and pulls out a large silver dollar between his two fingers. He flicks it off his thumb, catches it on the tip of an opposite finger, and smoothly swipes it out of the air to present to his new Inmate. It's fun to be a showoff. Sometimes.
"I have a few coins I've collected from various ports. Like this one." He considers. "I also read frequently and I've done occasional Alchemy classes with one of the Wardens on board."

Very well. I'll be in touch.

Does he care about compliments? Do they mean anything to him? Hm...
There's a thoughtful look at that question. This is definitely shaping up to be a much different interaction already.
"Hm... back home, it was... reading books, which I can do here. Coin collecting... ah, I do miss that. And I miss Alchemy, as well."
