It might seem like a shaky goal, but I really think it does a lot for people. I've seen some of our graduates go from new arrival to Warden, and it's a hell of a change.
"Does a lot" in the sense that the graduating inmates I've known are all more stable, making better decisions, and using their abilities for the good of themselves and others in ways they weren't when they started out here.
[Look at him, using modern slang! Even if he said it with all the delicate care of a refined lady removing a cockroach from the sugar bowl with the very tips of the tongs. Yunlan's so proud.]
So it's not that surprising that you haven't spotted anyone yet -- but why don't you expect to? We've got a wide variety of people here, after all.
